Fresh & Colourful For Spring 2018

The Spring has well and truly sprung with our most recent installation in the Interior Design Studio window at the Willow Lifestyle store in Lymington.

Inspired by a desire for something fresh and colourful after months of chilly grey weather our curvaceous chair, surrounded by flower filled fabrics and faux blooms, has been turning heads all week. It’s flashes of hot pink, slices of vibrant orange and glimpses of apple green, hopefully putting a smile on all your faces as you walk past, knowing that the change in season is on its way!

Memories of a visit to the Designers Guild showroom on the Kings Road, with it’s riot, of colour led us back to the ‘Jardin des Plantes’ collection and the Sibylla Fucshia fabric really hit the spot. With this inspiration our mood board started to take shape and our minds were filled with the heady scents of Spring blooms; tulips, parrot tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Dreaming of longer, sunshine filled days and the arrival of Spring.

This striking fabric creates exactly the right tone for an upturn in the weather (we are stealthily ignoring the typical bank holiday Easter forecast). When the sunshine hits the colours through the window they really pop. We aren’t afraid of COLOUR! As well as all our beautiful neutrals and textures that we’re known for, we love to include splashes of colour in our bespoke cushions or accessories, selected in our design process, or you can be really brave and embrace colour covered walls, curtains, floors and furniture.

“ We’re currently working on some really lovely varied projects. From a beautiful country living room with rich aubergine walls adding sympathetic new pieces alongside well loved family heirlooms, to softening the edges of a new build property flooded with natural light, white walls and sleek surfaces” enthuses Senior Designer Jean.

‘This Spring is all about re connecting with your garden and filling the house with bright vibrant florals real or faux, the brighter the better! ” comments Designer Lucy.

“Now’s the time to clear away the cosy wool and faux fur blankets and layer in some light weight airy linens,” comments Jean.
